Glazed is a luxury, age-defying, bioactive radiance oil that is safe for acne-prone skin, all skin conditions (rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, etc), Mast Cell Activation or Histamine Intolerance, and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. Glazed only contains oils that are rated as 0-1 on the comedogenic scale. It is formulated with all skin and health sensitivities in mind. For best results, use Golden Sunrise Cleansing Cream and Moonlight Mist prior to applying. Add about 7-9 drops of Glazed to palms. While skin is still damp with toner, massage in well with love over face, neck, and décolletage until fully absorbed. Glazed is also perfect for facial massage, facial cupping, or gua sha.

About the Ingredients

Bakuchiol CO2 is a supercritical extract from the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant. Babchi, or Psoralea corylifolia, is a plant that has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for centuries. It is known as a the “natural Retinol alternative.” Bakuchiol, is the only botanical alternative to retinol clinically proven to have same dramatic skin improving and anti-aging effects as retinol. In a 12-week study published in the British Journal of Dermatology, Bakuchiol was shown to be as effective as retinol. Bakuchiol has powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, which promote skin health, healing, and reduce the affects of aging. Bakuchiol has the same gene expression as retinol. They both help to produce collagen and elastin, reducing wrinkles and firming skin. Like retinol, Bakuchiol can also improve melasma, hyperpigmentation, and acne. The great beauty of Bakuchiol is that it is a natural herbal extract and that is has no adverse effects. Retinol can cause redness, dryness, irritation, peeling, and sun sensitivity. While, Bakuchiol causes none of these side effects.

Astaxanthin is one of the most powerful antioxidants known in nature. It can prevent and reduce skin aging by reducing oxidative stress, thereby reducing wrinkles and improving firmness and overall appearance. It provides nutrition and protection to the skin. Astaxanthin protects the skin from UV damage and supports the skin’s antioxidant defenses against sun damage. It inhibits collagenases (the enzymes that break down collagen) and blocks inflammatory mediators, resulting in potent anti-aging effects. Trials with Astaxanthin showed that after just 8 weeks of use, Astaxanthin improves the elasticity of skin, decreases the appearance of wrinkles and age spots, and improves moisture retention.

Abyssinian oil mimics your natural skin barrier, which helps to balance dry or oily skin. It has a high concentration of minerals, proteins, and antioxidants. It also contains unsaturated C22 fatty acids, omega 3 and 6, vitamins B6, B2, B1, A, C, and E. Abyssinian oil contains linoleic and linolenic acids, which help skin to regenerate, condition the skin, and are anti-inflammatory. A unique feature of Abyssinian oil is its erucic acid content, which aids other ingredients in penetrating the skin, so it is perfect for pairing with other ingredients to increase their benefits and efficacy. Abyssinian oil is very stable and non-oxidizing. It is a beautifully lightweight, non-greasy oil, yet it is deeply hydrating and easily absorbed.

Goji berry oil is rich in carotenoids, such as beta-carotene and zeaxanthin. In studies, Goji Berry was shown to protect against the suppression induced by “cis-urocanic acid,” a product activated by sunlight. It was noted that the antioxidant activity in the skin was evident by the significant protection against free radical damage to cells, showing that Goji Berry provides UV protection. Abundant in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants, Goji Berry not only helps protect skin from environmental damage, it has also been shown to improve elasticity and age spots. It has even been shown to increase DNA synthesis rates in various types of cells that produce collagen and Keratinocytes.

Amla berry oil has been shown to be a rich source of bioactive compounds and antioxidants, and very high in vitamin C. It helps to reduce and prevent aging, damage, and hyperpigmentation. Amla prevents the photoaging activity caused by UVB radiation.

Sea Buckthorn CO2 is brimming with a rich array of skin loving nutrients, including high levels of vitamins A, C, E and K, folate, carotenoids and sterols, flavonoids and fatty acids. One such component of Seabuckthorn is Palmitoleic acid, an omega-7 fatty acid that is naturally present in the skin. As levels of Palmitoleic acid are optimized in the skin, a beautiful gleam is experienced. Seabuckthorn has also been shown to normalize sebum production, aiding in its ability to regulate many types of inflammation on the skin. 

Pomegranate CO2 is one of the most beneficial skin care ingredients available. Pomegranate promotes collagen and elastin production and thus aids in wrinkle prevention and reduction, and helps to firm skin.  It is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and omega fatty acids. Rosehip CO2 brings deep nutrition and antioxidants to the skin. It is absorbed and utilized by the skin quickly and efficiently. Rosehip seed oil restores and protects, as it increases cell turnover rate. Rosehip CO2 comes from the seeds of the wild Rose, Rosa canina. Squalane from olives is very similar to the natural squalene in our skin’s sebum, which makes it light and easily absorbed. It supports the natural outer barrier of the skin, leaving it smooth and soft. It is a highly stable oil with a long shelf life. Squalane has been shown to help calm inflammation. It’s antioxidant properties reduce signs of aging, improving texture, tone, and elasticity.

Meadowfoam oil comes from a wildflower that primarily grows in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. It contains over 98 percent long-chain fatty acid, making it rich in antioxidants and beautifully hydrating. Studies show that it even has UV absorption capacity. It helps to prevent UVB rays from damaging the DNA of skin cells and from creating cancerous cells. The compounds in Meadowfoam also prevent aging by blocking the activation of enzymes which break down collagen.

Argan oil is rich in oleic, linoleic acids, and essential fatty acids like omega-3, 6, and 9, and vitamin E helping to support and heal the skin barrier, boost collagen production, and reduce signs of aging. Argan reduces inflammation, soothes irritated or damaged skin, and assists with elasticity and hydration. Argan oil is lightweight and one the least comedogenic oils, offering non-clogging moisture and nourishment to the skin. It is also helpful for inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea, psoriasis. Argan oil is also known as an excellent treatment for hair because it repairs and prevents damage to the exterior cuticle of the hair shaft.
